BattleKart Gateshead

BattleKart is above all a concentrate of emotions, sensations and fun accessible to all (from 1.45m)! You drive real electric karts on a track with no physical obstacles, but through virtual worlds We use a large number of projectors fixed to the ceiling of our hall to project different circuits and game modes onto the floor. Your kart is equipped with sensors and on-board electronics so that the karts interact with the elements on the track and with each other. For example, pick up a bonus square on the ground and a rocket will appear on your dashboard. Press the yellow button and the rocket will shoot off in front of your kart. If it hits one of your opponents, they’ll be slowed down for a few seconds and you’ll be able to overtake them!

• The activity is unsuitable for those with epilepsy, heath conditions, those with a weak back or neck, pregnant women and those with pacemaker (despite passing all EMV tests).

• We recommend that people with fragile eardrums bring their hearing protection.
• Persons of a larger build who weigh over 120kg may find it difficult or uncomfortable to take part in the activity due to the size of the karts.
• It is forbidden to take part in the activity under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Unfortunately we do not have a lift to get upstairs to our reception and bar/cafe. We do have space downstairs to store prams/wheelchairs and you are able to access the trackside, which is at ground level. We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause, and apologise for it. We have 12 karts that can play at the same time. You do not need to book all 12 of these places, we will fill them up with other customers. However if you would prefer a private game, you are welcome to book all twelve of these places yourself.

Absolutely! We have two party packages - one for under-18’s and one for adults. We have two private-hire rooms that are perfect for your celebration, one of which overlooks the track, and our packages include food and drink options. We are located just opposite the Metrocentre! We are easy to reach by public transport, car, or bike. We are only a 10 minute drive from Newcastle city centre, 25 minutes from Durham, and 25 minutes from Sunderland. We are a 10 minute drive from Newcastle International Airport.
